AMC8 Intensive Summer Prep Course
The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. Students apply classroom skills to unique problem-solving challenges in a low-stress and friendly environment.
The material covered on the AMC 8 includes topics from a typical middle school mathematics curriculum. Possible topics include but are not limited to: counting and probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, elementary geometry including the Pythagorean Theorem, spatial visualization, everyday applications, and reading and interpreting graphs and tables. In addition some of the later questions may involve linear or quadratic functions and equations, coordinate geometry, and other topics traditionally covered in a beginning algebra course.
Do you believe in such a camp?
A naughty child seriously starts his own daily schedule.
An introverted sensitive child stands on the stage and speaks their ideas out loud.
A child who only likes to see the illustrations starts reading thick novels.
A child who dislikes writing begins to share the stories they write with you.
A child who does not like math, within only five days, became a little master in oral and mental calculations.
We are A+ Learning center, a place that's a little bit interesting.

Some moms may feel confused, why some kids love to read but are good at writing? That’s because their love for reading is only about the content itself, funny words, pretty inserts. They don’t consider the cause and effect, they also do not extend and summarize. Kids that are younger than the age of 10 are at the golden stage of “Learning to read”. It’s the top priority for kids to be motivated by their interest and learn to read quickly and correctly. Only by doing so, kids can develop their “reading to learn” skill that goes with writing and expressing. In A+ Reading class, we have a brand-new theme for each day, an interesting story background worthy of expectation. We develop reading skills slowly, step by step, and integrate knowledge points throughout the process, so that we can achieve strengthening the excellency and making up for the missing knowledge effectively.
Writing class is a complementary with reading class and they form a whole system together. Kids’ passion for writing can be increased through a happy and humorous atmosphere. Under this model of instruction, kids can achieve the ability to express their ideas in writing with a natural flow, learn to express their thoughts in an orderly way, think with a logical mindset, debate with a clear mind and write in a clear manner.
Math is not just about calculation, it’s also for training kids’ logical mindset by doing calculations. A+ math class combines mental and oral calculation with cool and exciting magic. Kids can’t help falling in love with it and admiring math. Falling in love with math is just that simple!
Our leadership class focuses on seven good habits (1. Be proactive 2. Begin with an end in mind 3. Put first things first 4. Think Win-win 5. Seek First to Understand, then to be Understood 6. Synergize 7. Sharpen the saw). We develop lessons through “fairy tale stories”, “Jungle Adventure”, "Forest class”, "League of legend”, and more. Kids roleplay the vivid and interesting scenarios and learn how to make friends, how to solve conflicts, how to protect themselves, how to deal with negative energy, how to improve themselves and how to become a popular person.
" If you apply even one of the 7 habits today, you can see immediate results; but it's a lifetime adventure a life promise. " - Stephen R.Covey
Select a task, finish the task, then you can get extra reward points from the Mystery kingdom. For example：First Fashion Design（from Angel City）, Great Architect（from Dwarfs Village）, Magical paper（from Crystal Castle）, Incredible Artist（Fairy Town）, Little Inventor（Brave Land）, and more.
The advantage of A+ Learning Center
How do we strengthen the excellency and improve the weakness effectively
Background: in the remote Mystery Kingdom, there are many unknown and mysterious things. Besides the Windrip Village, Fairy Town, Monside, Foodie Town and so on that are already discovered, there are more fields waiting to be unlocked. The secretary general, the Minister of magic, Minister of finance, mayor assistant and so on are recruiting in the A+ Learning Center, will you be selected to get citizenship of the Mystery Kingdom?~
Take Reading and Writing as an example:
For lower elementary graders (level K-2), it’s very important to cultivate the kids’ interest in the discipline and make them feel happy in learning. And to gradually develop their spirit to proceed without hesitation and the will of trying harder and harder towards challenges.
Reading: Humans in Wild Animal District Windrip Village are doing construction work again. Do they want to destroy the ecosystem again this time, or do they want to help the animals? Lisa Bear in hibernation hasn't woken up yet, who finally woke her up? The little star in Monside, Bonk, did any unexpected things again this time? In different reading scenarios each day, Kids imperceptibly learn more sights word and vocabulary; learn how to connect to prior knowledge to read more smoothly; Using phonics knowledge and context clue to help understand the words they don’t know.
Writing: The kids from Tooth Fairy Town have never seen fish, please create your own special fish and tell others the story about your fish. If you are an animal member in the forest, how would you write a letter to humans to tell them your thoughts. Melody opened a new dessert shop in Foodie Town, please introduce the signature flavor in your mind! From connecting words into sentence, to finishing sentences and writing independently, kids gradually learn the subject, predicate and object in sentences, they also learn how to describe who or what did what, where and when. And their interest in writing will start growing.
For upper elementary graders（Grade 3-6）, It’s very important for them to learn important knowledge points effectively. We will create a study atmosphere with scenarios at the right speed, so the kids can master the important knowledge while enjoying their study. During the class, they can finish a reading task with about 1200-3600 words efficiently and they can create their own creative writing.
Reading: the secretary-general Melody from the Mystery Kingdom brings a special mission from each town every day. It might be from the Morty family in Windrip Village, or from an ancient castle in Fairy Town, or maybe it’s about Amelia Earhart who is admired by the kids in the Kingdom. Through narrative and expository reading comprehension, kids gradually learn how to make predictions and inferences; how to distinguish the main idea from details and opinion from fact; how to analyze plots/characters and summarize to comprehend and more. The expansion of a large amount of vocabulary would help them to read more smoothly.
Writing: Last week naughty Morty caused some trouble again! Will he be punished or forgiven? Continue the story with your own ideas~ After learning so much about the Woods of Wonder, if you become a tourist, how would you prepare a statement to show the tourists about these interesting forests. Imagine if you were a gold seeker in the California Gold Rush, what would be your daily job? Try to write a journal to describe one day of your life. In every writing task that's related to their reading, the kids’ writing interest would be increased and they can learn how to organize their writing and provide more details; using transition words; add more figurative language (like similes, metaphor, idioms) and conversation to enrich the content.
Little buddies, come on and join A+ Learning Center!
