Math Kangaroo International Math Contest

Overview

Math Kangaroo is one of the largest international math contests for school-age students, with millions of participants from over 80 countries each year. The contest focuses on playful, creative, and real-life problem solving rather than heavy computation.

Who Can Participate

Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12，Levels are grouped by grade, for example:

Level 1: Grades 1–2
Level 2: Grades 3–4
Level 3: Grades 5–6
Level 4: Grades 7–8
Level 5: Grades 9–10
Level 6: Grades 11–12

Contest Format

Multiple-choice questions in a 75-minute test
Younger levels: 24 questions
Older levels: 30 questions
Questions are divided into three difficulty groups with increasing point values
Problems are story-based, visual, and often connected to everyday situations
